TICAL

TOKİ Şehit İkram Cirit Anadolu Lisesi (TICAL) is a state general upper secondary school for students at the age of 15-19. Language (English and German), science, social sciences, physical education, music and art lessons are intensively taught in TICAL.

The school has started operating in 2009 in one of the main districts of Eskişehir and in the education year of 2016-2017 it has 931 students and 78 young, competent and dynamic teaching staff. TICAL has 48 classrooms with smart boards, 12 rooms for physics, chemistry and biology laboratories, conference room for 250, sports hall of 650 m2 and a football field. There are more than 1000 selective books in the school library. Besides these facilities our school is based on a spacious land for every type of activity and has a garden with 350 trees.

Sports is very important in TICAL; it has a basketball team (boys), volleyball team (girls), table tennis (boys; girls), football team (girls). Important degrees were received in Turkey Wrist Wrestling Championship and several degrees in badminton competitions countrywide.

The selection criteria for students is “being successful” in the central exam called OGS. Aim of TICAL is to enable students acquire knowledge, develop skills such as problem solving, critical thinking and taking part in team work, help choosing appropriate career and develop self-confidence and self-esteem, acquire attitudes, values and responsibilities as good citizens of Turkey and the world at large.
