Druskininkai Rytas Gymnasium

Druskininkai Rytas Gymnasium  is a state general upper secondary school for students at the age of 14-19. It was founded in 1975. The gymnasium is located in a beautiful health resort in the very south of Lithuania.

At school there are 570 students (aged 14-19) with different social background, skills and abilities. There work 73 highly qualified teachers. The mission and the main goal of the school is to promote high quality in teaching and learning.

A lot of attention is paid to students’ both personal development and self-expression and professional development of teachers. The school is valued for good final examination results and students’ achievements in different national and regional Olympiads, competitions and contests.

The school takes an active part in a number of national and international projects encouraging students to get interested in future career, politics, economics, leadership and other spheres.

The school has a famous folk group Racilukai, a theatre club, modern dance groups, singing groups, photography and film club as well as different art clubs. It is also famous for good sportsmen, especially basketball teams, volleyball teams and others.
